Alice Harper

Alice Marie Harper, age 61, was called home to join the loving arms of her father, Harbert Smith, Sr.; mother, Lillie; big brother, Harbert Jr.; and baby sister, Nancy.

She began this life on January 10, 1956 and her journey came to an end on February 20, 2017.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, James W. Harper of Svea, Florida; two daughters, Brandi and her husband Perry Williams of Panama City, Florida, and Elizabeth and her husband Richard Overstreet of Laurel Hill, Florida; grandchildren, James Williams, Anthony Williams, Ricky Overstreet, Lily Overstreet, Todd Williams and Priscilla Williams; and one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Patricia and her husband Mike Reel of Marion, North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart.

Alice fought a long hard battle and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.

A time of visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. Burial will be at a later date.
