Allan Dietz Cornelius, Jr.

Allan Dietz Cornelius, Jr., 73, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey Cornelius, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Allan was born on March 26, 1943 in Springfield, Illinois to Allan Dietz Sr. and Betty Cornelius. In 1961, he graduated from Glenview High School in Chatham, Illinois. Allan worked as manager for various companies, most notably as a district manager for McDonald's in Austin, Texas. As a young man, he attained a pilot's license and enjoyed recreational flying.
Allan served as a Deacon for Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Baker, Florida and was an influential spiritual leader for his family. He loved playing both computer and board games almost as much as he loved to make others laugh. Allan's humble spirit and sense of humor will be remembered and greatly missed!
Allan is survived by his three daughters, Kara Dunphy of Cary, NC, Lorelei Livingston of Frankfurt, Germany and Natasha Morrison of Kingwood, TX and his three step-sons, Mark Richmond of Kempner, TX, Joe Richmond and Jeremy Richmond of Cabot, AR and his step-daughter, Amy White of Cabot, AR, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5595 Hwy 4 S. Baker, FL. Funeral service will be 10:00am on Friday, January 20, 2017 also at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church followed by a graveside service at Pilgrim Rest cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church "Building Fund," 5595 Hwy 4 S. Baker, FL 32531
