Anis Nell Fulford

Anis Nell Fulford, 80, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on November 17, 2016 in Crestview, FL.

Nell was born on February 5, 1936 in Orlando, FL to W.A. and Lillian Tart. She married Lamar Fulford on August 3, 1956. After residing in various places in Florida, the couple returned in 1971 to Crestview where Nell completed a 28-year career driving a school bus. She was a faithful member of the church of Christ at Airport Road. Nell had a joyful and playful zest for life. She loved children, visiting the sick and shut-ins, and spending time with her family.

Nell is preceded in death by her parents and husband of forty-two-years.

Nell is survived by her daughter, Nina Blake, and son, Mylon (Paula) Fulford, both of Crestview. She also leaves behind six grandsons: Solomon (Elizabeth) and Elijah (Kat) Blake, and Christopher, Petty Officer Second Class Benjamin (Yvonne), Joshua, and Jacob Fulford.  In addition, a sister, Ann (Mack) Moore of DeFuniak Springs, survives.

The funeral will be held at the Airport Road church of Christ in Crestview on Tuesday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Crestview. If attendees would like, they may wear a bit of red in memory of Nell; red was her favorite color.

Flowers may be sent to Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home in Crestview. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice.
