Anna Seroogy

Anna began her life in the Philippines on December 27th, 1958. She was the daughter of a widowed mother and a middle child between 2 brothers.  In her early 20’s, she attended Jocson Junior College and studied to be a seamstress. She worked as a nanny and housekeeper during this time. 

She met her husband, John, and married in October 1983.  Anna became a wonderful mother of a daughter and a son.  As her husband was stationed at military bases overseas and in the states, she moved around with her family until her husband retired in Florida. 

Anna worked for AAFES in various positions for about 15 years and would have continued if it had not been for her health condition.  After accepting her health condition, she lived on to spend time with good friends and participated with different Filipino associations.  Anna was an amazing and loving soul who was easily loved by all.  She was loved by her family, friends, coworkers at AAFES, and the nurses and doctors from her kidney group.  It has been said, by one of her nurses, that she was the longest living patient that they had on peritoneal dialysis.     

Some of her final wishes were that she saw all three of her grandsons together and that all her friends would come together with love.  The day before she passed, she said that all her wishes have come true and she was overwhelmed with happiness. 

Anna passed away gracefully on January 13th, 2018.

A time of visitation will be held at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home on January 16, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory at 10:00AM.
