Arthur Victor Felgenhauer

Arthur Victor Felgenhauer, age 89, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016. He was born December 26, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Elsie Felgenhauer.

Arthur served in the United States Navy, was a member of the Lutheran Church, he enjoyed horse shoes, Hawiian music, playing Hawiian guitar, model railroading, playing pinochle, checkers, chess and  he was inducted into the Illinois horseshoe pitchers hall of fame.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Elmer Walter Felgenhauer.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 67 years and eleven months, Estelle Felgenhauer; son Bruce Arthur Felgenhauer; daughter, Karen S. Johnson and husband Dr. Joe Johnson; nine grandchildren, Adam Felgenhauer, Joseph Felgenhauer and wife Laura, Andrew Felgenhauer and wife Crystal, Jacquelyne Felgenhauer, Heather Johnson and  husband Dave Palmer, Tara Hayward and husband Brandon Hayward, Lyndsey Hand and husband Davin Hand, Taylor Johnson, and Scott Johnson;7 great-grandchildren Sydney Felgenhauer, Melanie Felgenhauer, Alaina Felgenhauer Tank Palmer, Margot Palmer, Aurora Hand, Evangeline Hand and expecting one any day.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm.
