Benny Lee Howell, jr

Benny Howell, age 19, of Crestview passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016.  He was born in Crestview on November 5, 1996, to Dawn and Benny Howell, Sr. and has been a lifelong resident of Crestview.  Benny graduated from Laurel Hill High School in 2016.  He loved to hunt, fish, and work and to help anyone that was in need.  Benny loved hanging out with his friends, but most of all he loved to pick on his nieces.  He was preceded in death by his father, Benny L. Howell, Sr and grandparents: A.B. and Karoline Howell.

            Survivors include his mother, Dawn Howell; sister, Amber Howell Kelley and husband Adam; nieces, Angela and Augusta Howell; and uncles and aunts, Michael and Jett Howell of Laurel Hill and daughter, Dakota Gilespy of Mobile; Debbie and Randy Lockhart of Texas; Dan Solomon of GA and Douglas Solomon of California.  Also surviving is Benny’s girlfriend Shiann Hall, along with many, many friends and family.

            The celebration of Benny’s life will be on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Reverend Mike McVay officiating.  A time of visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 p.m.  A private family burial will take place at a later time.
