BETTY JOYCE McCRANIE JORDAN

            Betty Jordan, age 72 of Baker passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at North Okaloosa Medical Center.  She was born in Munson, FL on June 20, 1943, to Luther and Clara McCranie.  Betty attended Beaver Creek Baptist Church for many years.  She loved her family and she loved life.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Jordan, a brother Ronnie McCranie and 2 sisters: Mary       and Barbara      

            Survivors include her husband Billy Mack Cawthon, Sr., daughters: Debbie and husband Dean Rush, Wanda Baker, and Norma and husband Michael Stewart.  Brothers: Luther McCranie, George McCranie and wife Lela, Roy McCranie, and Robert McCranie; sisters: Margaret Champion, Shela Lynch and husband Bill, and Patricia Williams and husband Roy.  Also surviving are her step-sons: Billy Mack Cawthon, Jr and John Cawthon.  Betty leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

            A time of visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.  The celebration of Betty’s life will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral with Reverend Alton Nixon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
