David Blair Marquis

David Blair Marquis was born, Dec 26, 1947, in Fort Dix, NJ. He grew up in Akron, Ohio before joining the U.S. Navy where he served his country honorably for 26 years and retired at the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. David was an avid bowler, coin & stamp collector, and he thoroughly enjoyed online games. He passed away on June 3, 2016 peacefully at his home surrounded by his children. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren & Virginia, son Joseph, and is survived by his brother Stephen, sister Roseanne, sons Patrick & Dwayne, daughters Angenette & Amy, grandchildren Kylian, Brandon, Sierra, Zachary, Julie, Jonathan, Kassandra, & Isabella. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.  He will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 1315.
