Doug Mauldin, age 74 of Crestview went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 25, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 8, 1942, in Brundidge, AL, to Jack and Edna Mauldin. Doug worked for many years as a truck driver for Okaloosa Asphalt and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He loved to go camping and fishing. He loved to go to yard sales, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Doris Mauldin; his children: Carolyn Smith and husband Jim, Rodney Mauldin and wife Karen, Tammy Kerrell and husband Jamie, and Michael Mauldin; sisters Linda Brown and Janet Newberry. Doug is also survived by his grandchildren: Tyler Smith and his wife Shereen, Dani Mauldin, Travis Polk, Taylor Schmitz and husband Davis, Micaela Smith, Harrison Mauldin, Trace , Emily, and Sam Kerrell; great grandchildren: Ethan Smith, Amoree Mauldin, Madison Smith, and Rylan Smith; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A time of visitation with the family will be from 9:30 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The celebration of Doug’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Sharing and Caring of Crestview.
