James Chessher

            James Chessher, age 50, of Crestview passed away Thursday morning May 21, 2015, at Sacred Heart Hospital.  He was born in Crestview on August 2, 1964, to Johnnie and Nancy Chessher.  He has been a lifelong resident of Crestview.  James was a member of Joy Fellowship, he loved being with his son, Matthew.  He also loved to play softball, loved to play cards, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.  James was preceded in death by his parents.

            Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Jaclyn Chessher; his son, Matthew James Chessher; sister, Doretta and Earl Cadenhead of Baker; brother, John Chessher and D’Arcie; brother-in-law, Nicholas Lennard and Brittany and mother-in-law, Darlene Lennard-Guy of Crestview.  Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Cameron Davis, Aubriana and Christabel Chessher, Addison, Sydney and Hance Lennard.  James has a friend that he considered a brother, Wayne McCranie and wife Yovonka.

            A time of visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.  The celebration of James’ life will be on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Joy Fellowship at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Walters officiating. Burial to follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
