Joe Curenton

Joe Curenton, age 81, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016,  after a long battle with cancer.  He was under Covenant Hospice Care and we are so thankful for them.  Joe was born September 25, 1934 in Florala, Alabama.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Curenton; children Thos Curenton and his wife Dena, and Jodee Sellers and her husband Doug; brother Larue Curenton and his wife Judy; sisters in law Bertie Ann Curenton and Jean Sanders; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at The First Baptist Church of Crestview with Reverend Alan Kilgor and Reverend Fran Picker officiating.  Visitation will be at 1 p.m. at the church before the service.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be made to The First Baptist Church of Crestview building fund.  Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home is entrusted with the services.
