Kimberly Ann Devenny Inness, the most sweetest, kindest, and loving daughter, wife, mother, teacher, and friend, joined the other angels in heaven on 15 May. Kim was born in Rome, NY on September 29, 1971. As a military brat, she moved through all too many Air Force bases before luckily settling in Niceville. She graduated from St. Leo's College, earning both a degree and a husband while there. Kim was a dedicated and loving teacher's assistant working with children with emotional behavioral disorders at Lewis Elementary. An amazing Mom, she was a virtual fixture at her son Scott's baseball games, and watching her daughter Katelynn pitch for the Niceville H.S. Varsity softball team. Kim was a sweet friend with a heart of gold who never had a bad thought. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Mitch Inness (aka Coach Inness), her daughter Katelynn (16), her son Scott (12),  her brother Michael Devenny (Prosper, Tx), her parents Tom and Betty Devenny (Niceville), and her in-laws Mitchell and Linda Inness (Thomaston, CT).

The family would like to thank the many dozens of friends who helped Kim and the family as she bravely and courageously battled an unusually aggressive breast cancer for the past year. Your many prayers, meals, flowers, cards, and help show why our town is rightfully named Niceville. The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff at 21st Oncology for their tireless and caring efforts, and thank the entire team at Emerald Coast Hospice for making Kim comfortable at home.

Visitation will be at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Niceville on Saturday, 28 May 1000-1100, followed by a funeral mass. A celebration of life reception will then follow in the Parish Life Center. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the   High School Varsity Softball team in Kim's name.
