Lois Gene Stanley

Lois Gene Stanley was born on August 23rd 1928 in Holt Florida to Reverend S.A. and Amanda Thompson. She entered into her Heavenly Home on July 23rd 2016 as she rested at her earthly home on Stanley Lane in Baker Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years William Ogie Stanley, her sisters  Amarene Griffith and Eunice Cronin and her brothers Nathaniel Thompson, Wendell Thompson, Al Thompson, Olin Thompson, S.A. Thompson Jr and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Anne Stanley. She is survived by her son David Stanley Sr., John Stanley (Lois), daughter Margaret Remotti (Claude). Her Grandchildren Dave Stanley Jr. (Michelle), Sheri Brewer (Robert), Lisa Stanley,  Melissa Remotti, Jason Remotti (Dawn), James Remotti (Sonia) and Mary Remotti. She had seventeen great-grand children, one great-great-grandchild and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and their families. She was a Beauty Queen, Homemaker, Babysitter, Prayer Warrior, and Support Giver. She was a 73 year member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher and WMU Director. Throughout the years she lovingly cared for many children other than her own.

Funeral Service will be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:30am.
The family suggests donations in lieu of flowers be made to Covenant Hospice of Okaloosa County.
