Louise Ward Craig

Louise Craig, age 84, of Crestview passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.  She was born on October 12, 1931, to Hinson and Elma Ward.  Louise was a member of First United Methodist Church in Crestview.  She earned her Masters of Arts degree in Education from the University of West Florida and taught for 33 years in the Okaloosa County School System.  Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Hervis Ward.

            Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Louis Craig; son Aubrey Craig and his wife Jacqueline; daughters: Christine Craig Villa and her husband Richard, Deborah Craig Nester, and Susan Craig Zagorski; sisters: Kathleen Ward Hirsch and Lucy Ward.  Also surviving are her grandchildren: Richard Theodore Villa, Jr., Sarah Louise Oberliesen, Cynthia Lucille Villa, Mary Elizabeth Villa, Minta Justine Nester, Nicholas Craig Zagorski, Gillian Craig Zagorski, Aubrey Ward Craig, II, and Sarah Elizabeth Craig.  2 great grandchildren: Charles Nunzio Oberliesen and Piper Jane Oberliesen.

             A memorial service for Louise will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Christ Chapel at First United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m.  A family burial will follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Robert L.F. Sikes Public Library, 1445 Commerce Drive, Crestview, FL 32539
