Louise Smith Sanders

Louise Sanders, age 88 of Crestview passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Wing, AL on November 28, 1928, to Bud and Lila Smith. Louise worked for many years at the Clerk of Court and then worked for Tommy Holland for several years. She loved to travel, especially to the Smokey Mountains. Louise was a wonderful cook, she loved her grandchildren, but most of all she loved her family and the times when they could all get together. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille Anderson and Lena Kinder and her brother Junior Smith. Survivors include her husband of 69 years Elmer Sanders, sons: George Sanders and his wife Angela and Rick Sanders and his wife Margarita. 4 grandchildren: Douglas Sanders, Jessica Baudean and husband Cory, Adam Sanders, and Stephen Sanders. Also surviving are her 3 great grandchildren: Ashton Sanders, Avery and Courtney Baudean, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The celebration of Louise’s life will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Revered Jack Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
