Mary Frances (Huggins) Clark

Mary Frances Huggins Clark, age 90, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, in Crestview. She was born August 18, 1926, in Troy, Alabama, to the late John Franklin Huggins and Bernice Chandler Huggins. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Crestview, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member. She was also a member of the Joy Club and Crestview Garden Club. She was a teacher in the Okaloosa School System, and Ocean City Elementary School Teacher of the Year 1980-81. She served as secretary on the Planning and Zoning Board for the town of Shalimar, FL, and was a citizen representative on the Citizens Advisory Comprehensive Planning Board in Shalimar. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, puzzles, traveling and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Randolph Clark, brothers, SSgt Jesse Benton Huggins and Melvin Bryan Huggins; and a sister, Jimmie Valeta Huggins Covington. She is survived by a son, Karl Bernard Clark; daughters, Anita Frances Clark and Bonita Ramon Clark; sister, Johnnie Maxine Huggins Long; grandchildren, Carlina Amanda Clark LoBello, Christopher Brandon Clark, Casie Leigh Clark and Elyse Micayla Clark; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole LoBello, Amelia Elizabeth Clark and Luke Mason McDonald. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview. The family will receive friends starting at 10 AM. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy, Alabama. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
