Mary Elnor Hart

Mary Elnor Hart, lifelong resident of Baker, Florida, passed away peacefully on the night Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 surround by family. She is survived by her beloved son, George Marcus Hart and his wife Tamara Hart; daughter-in-law Patricia Hart; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her much loved sister, Velmarie Joiner.

She was predeceased by several sisters; her husband, Clinton Charles Hart in 1993; and son Charles “Chuck” Hart in 2005.

Born in Baker, Florida to Presley Pharr and Ellie Christine Hobbs in 1925, Mary Elnor will be remembered as a vibrant spirit who worked for the war effort during World War II and subsequently as a substitute teacher and volunteer volleyball chaperone at Baker School. Her family would like to offer their most heartfelt thanks to her dear friends and neighbors in Baker; her devoted doctor and nurses at Healthmark; and her deeply caring hospice support from Regency. A time of visitation will be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00am with the visitation starting at 10:00am. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
