1930-2016

Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Johnson, age 86 of Baker, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016.  She was born on July 7, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Baker.  Liz worked for Okaloosa County schools in media services and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.  Liz love her family especially her grandchildren and she loved to cook and travel with Robert on the RV.  She is preceded in death by her husband Robert.  Survivors include her sons, Bob Johnson and wife Susan and Bill Johnson and wife Janet; brother, Floyd Stanley; grandchildren, Beth and Dave Griggs; Bobbie Johnson, Christy and John Davis, Jill and Daniel Coon, and Rachael and Max Lyons; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

A time of visitation will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.  Her funeral service will take place Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Geoff Prows officiating.  Burial will take place at Beaver Creek Cemetery.
