Nadine (Jay) Williams

Nadine Williams, age 95, Crestview, FL, joined her Lord and Savior and soul mate and husband, Friday evening, December 30, 2016. She was born in Covington County, Andalusia, Alabama. She and her husband, J.T. Williams, moved to Okaloosa County in 1941 where they lived and raised their family until their passing. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother. She was one of the original members of Southside Baptist Church (now Central Baptist Church) in Crestview and in the early years of the church she taught classes for the young children. She loved her church and was a devoted deacon’s wife. She worked at the Council On Aging for many years prior to retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings and her husband, J.T. Williams. She is survived by three sons; Joe Williams (Gayle), of Shalimar, Jerry Williams (Linda) of Crestview and Ronnie Williams (Karen), of Baker. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Mike Williams (Theresa), Erin Barton (Bobby), Jeff Williams (Jessie), Brian Williams (Adriana), Lori Dunkle (Chris) and Jamie Williams; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The family would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Indumathi Christopher and Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center for their many years of loving care. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home, 436 West James Lee Blvd., Crestview. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, January 3, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Winstead officiating, and eulogy by Brother Winston Jay. The family will receive friends starting at 10. Interment will be at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
