Paul Sexton

Paul Sexton, age 98, of Baker, passed away Sunday evening, January 15, 2017 in Crestview. Paul was born in Mariana, Florida to the late Jack and Bessie (Kent) Sexton. He was a long-time resident of Okaloosa County, a World War II Veteran and a retired Eglin Air Force Base Firefighter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Cola Sexton, and brothers and sisters, Huey, Jack, Susie, Lucy, Renzie, Josie May and Alice. Paul is survived by his wife, Patsy; sons, Roy (wife, Jeanette), Warren (wife, Becky) and Wade (wife, Stephney) Sexton; his daughter, Paula Peacock; half-sister, Annie Sue; and numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be in Pyron Chapel Cemetery in Baker. Flowers are welcomed, or friends who wish may contribute to the Pyron Chapel Church in Paul’s memory, for the maintenance of the cemetery.
