Phillip Roy LaFlesh

Phillip Roy LaFlesh, age 68, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016. He was born in Groton, Connecticut to Severino and Jennie Zapatos on March 27, 1947.

            Phillip served in the Navy from 1966-1974, he got out with an honorable discharge. He enjoyed sport fishing, carpentry, restoration,  loved his dog and best friend Kirby, and was a member of American Legion, Post #400 in Crestview, Flroida.

            He was preceded in death by three children, one sister and one brother.

            He is survived by daughters, Alicia Zelandonii and Jennifer Platt; son, Christopher LaFlesh; sister, Inez Zapatos McCarthy and husband Jim; Brother Craig Zapatos and wife Margaret; and his faithful friend, Kirby.

            Graveside service will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida at 11:05am. In  lieu of flowers the family would like for donations to be made to 1 Lucky Dog Rescue http://www.1luckydogrescue.com/
