RANDALL WADE WALKER

 Randall Wade Walker, 53, of Baker, FL, passed away on Friday, September 8th 2017.

Randy was born in Waycross, GA on March 9, 1964 to Lester and Maxine Walker.  Randy grew up on St. Simons Island, GA. He graduated Glynn Academy in 1982 and from there he enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent the majority of his career at Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC and Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  He served our country for 20 years before retiring from the Civil Engineering Squadron.  After retirement, he joined the Civil Service at Eglin AFB where he presently served until his passing. 

Randy leaves behind his parents, Lester and Maxine Walker of Kingsland, GA; two sons: Justin Walker of Savannah, GA and Brett Walker of Baker, FL; Brett’s mother, Michele Walker of Baker, FL.; one sister, Rhonda Paul of Merritt Island, FL; a brother-in-law, Bryan Paul; a niece and nephew, Owen Paul and Emma Paul; Conni Walker of Tampa, FL, the mother of Justin Walker.  Michele and Brett Walker were both at his side as he passed away peacefully after a short and courageous battle with cancer. 

Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved boating, fishing, and hunting with his children and friends.  He was also an auto enthusiast who collected and restored vintage cars and trucks over the years. Randy was a big fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He is very much loved by his family, friends and co-workers and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Services to be held at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home on Monday, 18 September, 2017, at 6 PM.

For friends and family who cannot attend the service in Baker, FL, a memorial to his life will also be held in Brunswick, GA at a later date still to be determined.
