R D Lawson

R. D. Lawson, age 91, of Crestview, passed away Sunday morning, July 5, 2015, in Crestview. He was born July 24, 1923, in Pitkin, Louisiana, and moved to this area in 1929. R.D. was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was employed in the aerospace industry as a computer specialist for 17 years. He also was a computer science instructor at OWCC for many years. He is survived by his wife, Nell Lawson, of Crestview; daughters, Louella Devine (husband, Patrick) of Crestview, and Lynne Ray, of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Gurvis Lawson of Prattville, AL; four grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Robert Devine, Timothy Devine and Andrea Drake; and four great grandchildren, Braden Clark, Mason Clark, Peyton Clark and Andru Ray. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Airport Road Church of Christ, with Pastor Mark Dillman officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until service time. Burial will be at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview.
