I feel so blessed to have spent the time I had with Rogene. Her kindness of spirit, zest for life and gentle nature were a joy to witness and an inspiration to me. I have fond memories of her sharing her treasured photo albums with me and the beautiful stories that accompanied. I will miss our talks greatly and am honored to have shared in her life for these last few years.

The angels claimed one of their own and we are left with broken hearts and precious memories. Rogene was grace, elegance and love ..... all without effort She was the true meaning of natural beauty, inside and out, at every stage of her life she remained beautiful and gracious; we can only strive to emulate her example.
I love all of you Hastys, you are family, my heart is with you.

My deepest condolences to the Hasty family for this tremendous loss. May the words found at Isaiah 26:19 bring you comfort in knowing that you will one day see Rogene again.
Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life"

To All The Hasty Girls,
Steve and I both loved Rogene. Her smile was the best and she had a twinkle in her eyes ,which I will surely miss.
We have so many wonderful memories of her and our times on Gillis Dr. But, I am happy she finally gets to see Kenny again and dance with that crazy guy,Charlie.😇
Much Love to you all, Steve and Brenda

I will always remember Miss Rogene as one of the nicest, kindest, and most gracious lady that I have ever had the pleasure to have known. She passed down all the great qualities of her's, down to all her wonderful daughters. I will miss your smiles at all the functions here at the Village, but I am sure your spirit will always be here. ♥

We want to express our sincere sympathy of a true and sincere friend for over 30 years. We loved both Charlie and Rogene very much and I, myself, will surely miss one of my special friends. Rogene called my by surprised about 2 to 3 weeks before her passing to let me know that I was on her mind, especially with the beautiful shawl I made her many years ago (about 5 years). My heart is heavy but I know she is without pain and her priceless love will be with her always. We wish to thank the family of Rogene for their many kindnesses. Blessings and love

Ms. Rogene was always so kind and a remarkable person to us. While she lived in the Hasty Retreat, we loved visiting and talking for hours at her kitchen table. She will be missed by so many loved ones and especially her sweet daughters. Our condolences and love go out to all of you. Nina and Garrett.

They say there is a reason
They say that time will heal
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way you feel
For no-one knows the heartache
That lies behind your smiles
No-one knows how many times
You have broken down and cried
But I am sure that if you could say to your mom
So there won't be any doubt how you feel
You're so wonderful to think of
But so hard to be without

Though we did not have an opportunity to be with Rogene on very many occasions over the years, when we were, she always made us feel that we were "family". We felt we were in a calm, peaceful atmosphere when we were with her, and continue to experience that feeling whenever we bring her to mind.

What a wonderfully written and interesting obituary! I was attending 7th grade when we moved in across the street, and no one could ask for nicer neighbors than the Hasty family! And I've never known anyone who had a more consistently cheerful and positive attitude than Mrs. Hasty! How blessed we were to know her! My heart is full when I think of all who have preceded her welcoming her into God's rest, among them will no doubt be our mother, Lea, to whom she was the best of friends.
Condolences to all her children and grandchildren, and to all Rogene made to feel like family, as well. Til we meet again. -Rob & Cathy Davis

I did not know Ms. Rogene, but her daughter, Phyllis, was my teacher at Seaside many years ago and was very dear... sending love and light to the family, and prayers for strength and peace in the days to come... ❤
