Terrell Gatlin

Terrell Gatlin, age 76 of Dorcas passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at his home. He was born in Gainesville, FL on October 3, 1941 to O.B. and Cleo Gatlin. He has been a lifelong resident of the area. Terrell retired as a Range Tech from Endyne and was a member of Dorcas Baptist Church. He loved to farm and garden and loved woodworking. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Terrell was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jessie Gatlin. Survivors include his children: Terry Gatlin and wife Lori, Tami Holcomb and husband Greg, Cheryl Westbrook and husband Mark, and Ricky Gatlin and wife Ashlee, and step daughter Julie Lawlor. Also surviving are his brother and sister: Joe Gatlin and wife Joan, and Kay Hollinhead and husband Mike. 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive, who affectionately called him Pawpaw. A time of visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. The funeral for Terrell will be on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Dorcas Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Dorcas Baptist Church Cemetery.
