Hellen G. Kramer, age 66, long-time resident of Crestview, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday afternoon, November 24, 2010.
Hellen was a retired correction officer with Okaloosa Correctional Institute.
She is preceded in death by her mother,, Daisy Josey, her step father, Willard Josey, and a brother, Edward McGrath.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Joseph Kramer, of Ocala, FL, and Glen Robert Kramer (wife, Sherri) of Mount Pleasant, SC; her brother, Robert McGrath, of Tallahassee; her sister, Lorene Whitfield (husband, Jerry) also of Tallahassee; three step brothers, Ray Josey and Glen Josey, both of Anchorage, AK, and R. D. Josey of Baker, FL; a step-sister, Gwen Boilie of Tacoma, WA; two grandsons, Shawn and Noah Kramer of Mount Pleasant, SC; a niece, Lisa Yarborough (husband, Brooks), of Tallahassee; two nephews, Timothy and Edward McGrath; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Hellen’s life to be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Children's Cancer Society in memory of Hellen G. Kramer.
