Edward “Eddie” Delonie Daugherty was born July 12th, 1981 by Joseph “Pete” Daugherty & Elizabeth Daugherty in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

He passed away in his sleep on February 26th, 2024 at just 42 years old.

He leaves behind his legacy of 3 children; Chasen Lee Daugherty (17), Rylee Elizabeth Daugherty (15), and Raygan Louise Daugherty (14). And their mother, the love of his life, Kristin Daughtery; A brother, Kevin McKinney. His Nieces Rachael Daugherty, Brittni Smith, Lacy McKinney, Lesley McKinney, and great niece Kamilla. His nephews, Sean Daugherty, Kevin McKinney, & Nathan McKinney. Parent in-laws, Barbara Bray, Edward Bray, and Andy McKinney. Along with countless friends who were family to him.

He will be at peace with his mother Elizabeth Daugherty, Father Joseph Pete Daugherty, and brothers, Scott, Mike, and  Kenny Daugherty.

Eddie was an amazing technician, he could listen to any engine and tell you what was wrong and how to fix it. He could build or rebuild any engine imaginable. Out fish many, and was one of the proudest fathers you could meet. Racing was his passion alongside watching and helping his kids become amazing at anything they put their minds to.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.

Eddie Daugherty was and still is a very loved man. His heart and smile brightened everyone’s day with love and laughter. He was one of the best-certified technicians around. Could rebuild and build any engine you could think of. His biggest accomplishment in life was being a proud father. The love he showed for Chasen, Rylee, and Raygan will forever be missed in our lives but never in our hearts. His nieces and nephews never had to worry or miss a thing because Uncle Eddie would be there. Eddie was also one of the best brothers you could ask for with Kevin McKinney. The bond those two shared was unimaginable. I swear he married me for my brother and the kids some days. But man I do miss him. The love we had and still have for each other no one will break. We will meet again and we will get that new start we knew was coming. Chasen wants you to know how much he will miss you and how much he appreciates your start and support for his movies and knowledge. Raygan says she loves you and misses you, Daddy. Rylee says you’re the greatest thing we’ve ever lost. And they are all right. I know you are at peace with Mom and Dad. You missed them so much. But you are extremely loved and missed here. We wanted way more time with you and we are extremely proud of the man you fought so hard to become.
