Angela Ballard Obituary

Angela Barbara Ballard

December 16, 1933-July 11, 2019

On July 11, 2019 Angela Barbara (Trambley) Ballard of Baker, Florida earned her wings, golden halo and went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Barbara is survived by: her husband George Leroy Ballard (57 years of marriage); two (2) daughters-Elizabeth Gail Stewart & Eunice Barbara Parrish; Six (6) Grandchildren- April Mae White, Amanda Beth Watkins, Stephanie Christine Thorp, Melody Dannon White, Racheal Nachole Parrish, Kayla Renea Parrish; Six (6) Great-Grandchildren-Kesa Aino Crooks, Sage Cidro White, Jasmine Fawn White, Brantley Jaxon Watkins, Jaxon Daniel White, Maverick Dean White.

Barbara was originally from Dixon/Mora, New Mexico.  She has two surviving sisters (Connie Torres & Betty Cordova) along with their extended families.  Barbara married George in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was a proud military wife for 20 years.  She traveled extensively with her husband and children seeing many of the beautiful sites our world has to offer.  Upon her husband’s retirement from the U.S Army in 1979 they settled on their farm in Baker, Florida.  During this time she worked hard on their farm gardening, picking pecans or figs and selling them in the community.  This earned her the trade names “The Pecan Lady” or “The Fig Lady” from Baker.  She was an active participant in her church Our Lady of Victory.  She enjoyed her TV shows, going to the movies, popcorn, Bingo, and spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services were held on August 18, 2019 in which she was laid to rest next to her father at the First Baptist Church of Milligan’s cemetery.

Barbara was dedicated to her family and will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched and loved.
