Angie Windham of Crestview, Florida went peacefully to her heavenly home on November 10, 2019 surrounded by her family after a yearlong battle with breast cancer. Angie was a loving wife, mother, Gigi, and friend to many. Angie was born on September 30, 1966 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Tom Day and Sherry Miller and moved to Crestview, Florida in 1967. Angie attended Crestview high school in Crestview, Florida, graduating in the Class of 1985.
Angie was passionate about her faith, her family, and her profession. Angie was an active member of First Baptist Church of Crestview and was involved in the youth and children’s ministries, fellowship committee, and bereavement committee over the years. Angie worked for the Okaloosa County School District for the past 20 years as a School Secretary at Davidson Middle School, Antioch Elementary and Southside Elementary and truly loved working at all three schools.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 31 years Vince Windham of Crestview, FL; her daughters who loved her dearly, Ashley Ritchie (Blake) of Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Ally Windham of Crestview, FL; Parents, Larry and Sherry Miller of Crestview, FL; Father and Mother in law, Emmett and Linda Windham of Milton, FL; Tom Day of Sacramento, CA; Siblings, Barbara Brooks (Keith) of Crestview, FL; Jimmy Miller of Nashville, TN; and her granddaughter Mila, who was still making her Gigi smile through her final day.
A service to celebrate Angie’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Crestview on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. A time of visitation will proceed the service at 1:00 p.m. The family is asking in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Angie’s Memory to: Davidson Relay for Life, Davidson Middle School, 6261 Old Bethel Road, Crestview, FL 32536.
Thank you so much to all of you who have prayed, visited, sent cards, provided meals, and loved her and our family throughout this yearlong battle. The help and support that we received was unbelievable and we are forever grateful to all of you.
