Annie Adams

Annie C. Adams passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, September 14, 2018 in Crestview, Florida. She was born on December 27, 1936 in Crestview, Florida. 

As a young girl, Annie Clyde attended Florala Assembly of God. She graduated from Florala City School. In 1953, she married her sweetheart Darwin A. Adams. In her career, she worked at TG&Y for several years before becoming a cashier at Winn Dixie.  She loved spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Darwin Adams; her parents Columbus and Elmer Bedsole; her brother Rhett Bedsole; and her sister Nell Hartzog.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Wilson and her husband John, of Crestview, Florida; two grandchildren, Katherine Wilde and her husband, Billy of Crestview, Florida and Kimberley Huggins of Crestview, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brooklyn, and BJ Wilde, and Kelsea Huggins; sister Tina Gennell and her husband Bob of Woodstock, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. The funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home, with Associate Pastor George Katzman officiating. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Barrancas National Cemetery.
