On October 31, 2018 Brian passed away unexpectedly of unknown causes at his home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was born on July 14, 1985 at West Florida Hospital, Pensacola, Florida.
Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Dorland Jackson and Opal Jean Barnhill; and aunt, Elaine Cadenhead; all of Baker.
He is survived by his parents, Darrell Jackson and Deborah Carr Barnhill of Santa Rosa Beach; brother, Wesley Darrell Barnhill of Santa Rosa Beach; maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Carr of Holt, Florida; fiancé, Brittany Surgner of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; niece, Andrea Barnhill; nephew, Gavin Barnhill; both of Santa Rosa Beach.
Brian caught the love bug years ago when he met Brittany and it continued until his death. Although Brian was single he had a wonderful relationship with children and loved being a father figure to a special little lady, Harper Surgner.
Brian loved football and was a devoted fan of Freeport Bulldogs, Florida State University, and the Atlanta Falcons. He was a Nascar fan and loved attending the races at Talladega where he enjoyed the comradery of his life long friends.
Brian was a devoted employee of Barnhill Civil Planning and ECM both of Destin, Florida. He was a certified Storm Water Inspector and Project Manager. He designed subdivisions, house, and hotels.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6-8:00PM at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.
