Conrad Lee Rhoades, Sr. Conrad Lee Rhoades age 88 of Crestview passed away on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 peacefully at his home. He was born in Charleston W. Va. on June 7th, 1930 to Harvey and Gladys Rhoades. Conrad served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. He is a Vietnam and Korean Vet. Conrad was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He loved to fish, loved going to pawn shops and gardening. Most of all he loved to tinker in “Conrad’s Emporium-Tiny’s Junkyard”. Conrad loved his family. He is preceded in death by the mother of his children Barbara Rhoades and a son David Rhoades. Survivors include his wife of 22 years Velma “Tiny” Rhoades; son Conrad “Dusty” Rhoades, II and a daughter Daphne Rhoades. A sister Gloria McLung also survives. Conrad leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Conrad III, Scott, Cindi, Jason, Brian, and Dakota, along with 3 great grandchildren: Caleb, Autumn, and Ethan. The celebration of Conrad’s life will be on Friday, January 25th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church 824 N. Ferdon Blvd., Crestview, FL 32536, with military honors.
