On Monday, October 28th, 2019, Dave Alan Reich, age 36, unexpectedly passed away at his home in Crestview, Florida. Dave was born on March 8th, 1983 to Paula Dallas in St. Louis, Missouri. Dave served his country in the United States Army for 8 years. Dave deployed once to Iraq and then to Afghanistan before being medically retired for injuries sustained in battle. During his military service, Dave was awarded the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal with Valor, the Army Achievement Medal, and a Purple Heart. Dave loved spending time with his family, motorcycles and the Blues Hockey Team. Dave was always telling a joke or playing a prank on family or friends. Dave became an “instant Dad” to many with a shoulder to cry on or words of wisdom, graciously willing to give a helping hand to others, and was always good for a laugh. Dave is survived by his wife Trez Reich, and his six children (Adam, Austin, Rajous, Jonas, Alexis and Avynn) who remain living in Crestview Florida. Dave is also survived by his parents Paula and Mike Dallas, and Dave and Sheila Reich, as well as many more extended family members. A service will take place Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home in Crestview Florida. There will be a 2 p.m. graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
