Donnie Middleton, age 69 of Crestview, passed away Friday morning November 16, 2018 at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Blytheville, Arkansas to Willie Middleton and Helen Smith on March 26, 1949. He loved to help others, so he decided to pursue a master’s degree in psychology. He used his degree for 30 years in the Juvenile Justice System. After that, he become a very active volunteer of PAWS (Panhandle Animal Welfare Society), a non-profit organization that helps aid animal cruelty and mistreatment, for 5 years. He was a very passionate person when it came to his animals. He would save those who desperately needed to be loved. He rehabilitated animals of varies breeds for mistreatment, malnourishment, and those who were abused. After he nursed them back to perfect health, he would find a loving, forever home for them. While he was an active volunteer with PAWS, he also donated his time at local animal shelter. He would adopt dogs who were sadly given up on and deserved more time on this earth to be loved. He gave them a forever home. Donnie Middleton was preceded in death by his wife, Terry and his mother, Helen Smith. Survivors include his father, Willie Middleton; his brothers Steven Middleton, Joe Middleton and wife Karen; His sister, Suzie Middleton; Son, John Fore`t and significant other Leslie Strohm; Daughter, Autumn Foley; Granddaughters, Heather Jackson and husband Michael, Makala Goodale and husband Chris, and Felicity Fore`t and their mother, Genie Aunspaugh Fore`t; Grandson, Anthony Roca; Great Grandchild; Peyton Jackson; Niece, Jamie and Nephew, Joseph and extended Middleton family. The visitation for Donnie Middleton will on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 2-4 pm, followed by the Celebration of Life at 4:00pm at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home, with Pastor DeWayne Geohagan officiating.
