Esther Raybon

Esther Raybon, age 93 of Crestview passed away on Sunday July 29, 2018, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Crestview on July 23, 1925, to Ivy and Sydney Cadenhead and has been a lifelong resident.  Esther was a member of Auburn Pentecostal Church.  She loved going to church and watching game shows.  Most of all she loved her family and playing checkers with her grandchildren.  Esther was preceded in death by her husband Vet Raybon her parents, brother Grady Cadenhead, and sister Essie Mae Mason.

            Survivors include her children: Elaine Raybon , Joyce Terry and husband Ronnie, Gene Raybon and wife Sandra, Ronald Raybon and wife Diane, , and.  Also surviving are her 2 sisters: Beulah McCallum and Maggie Barrow and her husband Dewey.  Esther leaves behind the apples of her eye her 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. 

            The celebration of Esther’s life will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Auburn Pentecostal Church.  Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.  A time of visitation with the family will be on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Auburn Pentecostal Church from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. The family would like to say a special thank you to her care givers, Brad, Cameron, Morgan and Levi and Heather Barrow, Ruth Davis,  Angie Barrow,Justin Abdo and Darin Blanton; along with Emerald Coast Hospice and their caring staff, Jane, Sandra, Kim and Tim.
