Eula Dotson, age 91 of Baker, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was born in Santa Rosa County, FL on August 24, 1927, to Holley and Jessie Bass. Eula was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker. She loved to garden, and loved to travel with Glenn and Gloria. Eula helped Glenn on the family farm and help him with anything that needed to be done. Most of all she loved her family, she loved to garden, loved to cook what she planted and loved to serve what she cooked to her family and friends. Eula loved to take care of people and her gift was making people feel special. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Marlin, James Verlin, and her baby brother Dewey Bass and his sister Florine Wallace. Her husband Glenn Dotson preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter Gloria Dotson, who was the apple of her eye; brothers in law: Jerry Dotson and wife Bobbie and Dale Dotson and his wife Victoria; sisters in law: Charlotte Bass and Jollie Carver. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A time of visitation with the family will be on Monday, September 3rd, 2018, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Eula’s life will be on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with Reverends Mike McVay and Geoff Prows officiating. Burial will follow in the Aubrey-Jordan Cemetery.
