Fena Collins

Fena Collins, age 93 of Crestview passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Milton, FL.  She was born on July 19, 1925, in Crenshaw County, AL to Andrew and Bessie Lee DuBose.  She moved to Crestview in 1947 with her husband Mack.  Fena worked as a Secretary at Southside Elementary School and then retired after 30 years.  She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and very active in her church.  Fena loved her flowers, but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Gena White.

            Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Mack Collins, daughter Sharon Adams and husband Ronald; son-in-law Roger White; sister Dorothy Armstrong of Buzzard Bay, Mass.  Also surviving are the apples of her eye her 3 grandchildren: Gene Adams, Victoria English, and Rebecca White and her 3 great grandchildren: Matt Adams, Andriannah Adams, and RyleighLynn English.

            A time of visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.  Fena’s funeral will be on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church.  A private burial will take place at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Woodlawn Baptist Church building fund.
