Fred Schneider

Capt. Fred Schneider, Ret USN

Fred Schneider age 84 of Baker, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013.  He was born on December 21, 1928, to Alfred and Florence Schneider.  Fred retired from the United States Navy as a Captain.  He was a pilot for the Navy.  Fred loved to golf and play cards.  He was preceded in death by his wife Floragene Schneider, his daughter Gail Westberry and his parents.
Fred is survived by his current wife Carol B. Johnson Schneider, son Rick Schneider, daughter Debra Schneider-Loucks and husband Bob, grandson Jason Westberry and Heather and granddaughters: Hunter Sage and Lilly Gene, and great granddaughter Haley Gail Westberry, all of Baker.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Whitehusrt-Powell Funeral Home.  The funeral service for Fred will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Griffith Cemetery.
