Glenn Moore, Sr

Glenn Moore age 89 of Crestview passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Laurel Hill, FL on May 23, 1930 to Charles and Julia Moore. Glenn has been a lifelong resident of Crestview area. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 3 years. After the Air Force he went to work for Indiana-Michigan Power Company and retired after 43 plus years. Glenn took care of his family no matter what. At times he would work 2 or 3 part time jobs so the family wouldn’t do without. In his spare time Glenn loved to fish, but most of all he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years Emily Moore and a son Kevin Moore. Survivors include his son Glenn Moore, Jr and wife Elaine and one granddaughter. The celebration of Glenn’s life will be on Thursday January 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Travelers Rest Cemetery in Laurel Hill. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
