Jacob James Wetherbee, 26, left this life on January 7, 2020 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Laurel Hill, Florida.
Jacob is survived by his fiancé, Angela Renfroe (Wetherbee); his daughters, Abigail Nicole and Natalie Joyce Wetherbee; his mother and step-father, Shannon and Billy Ted Bond; brothers, Sam Wetherbee (Amanda) and Ben Wetherbee (Tania); niece, Emma; nephew, Logan; sisters-in-love, Kimberly Miranda (James), Stephanie Rodriguez, Michelle Renfroe (Mike), Tabatha Reynolds (David); nieces and nephews, Jordan, Taylor, Morgan, Alaina, Alexa, Madison, Mallory, and Samuel.
Jacob was born on March 30, 1993 in Carmichael, California. He and his mother, Shannon, moved to Luverne, AL when he was 17 years old. He graduated from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College with his LPN certificate at 19. He continued his education and earned his Registered Nursing Degree in 2015. While attending nursing school he met Angela, his fiancé and the mother of his baby girls, Abigail and Natalie. Angela was the love of his life and soulmate, and his girls were his princesses and the apple of his eye. Jacob was extremely proud of his family and his accomplishments.
Jacob was a loving, attentive, and devoted father and fiancé. He was loved and respected by many, especially his family, friends, co-workers, and patients. He always had a kind word, calm demeanor, and could make you laugh even on your worst day. He was truly a jack of all trades and loved the outdoors. Jacob enjoyed hunting, fishing (he wasn’t very good), grilling, tinkering in his garage, working on cars, swimming, riding old dirt roads, video games, decorating for holidays, and any moments that included his family. Jacob’s love for the Lord and his enthusiasm for life will forever remain in the hearts and lives of all who knew him.
