James M. “Bud” McDavid, Jr.

Bud McDavid, age 87, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019. He was born on July 1, 1931 in Holt, Florida to James and Bertha McDavid and has been a lifelong resident of the Crestview area.  Bud served his country in the United States Army and was a member of First Baptist Church.  Bud retired from the Rail Road where he worked as an agent for many many years, with L&N and CSX.  Bud enjoyed working in the garden and being outside, he loved to run and walk, enjoyed traveling with his family, but most of all he loved his family.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Hutcheson, Jean Sanders, and Nell Berry

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Faye McDavid; daughter, Linda Diane Harris; 4 nieces, Cynthia Taylor, Pam McAtee, Cecilia Johnson, and LaJuana Grief; 2 nephews, Greg Berry and Don Sanders; and extended family and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 2:00-3:00pm at First Baptist Church of Crestview with the funeral service starting at 3:00pm.  A private family burial will take place at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
