LaVern Johnson Blount

LaVern Johnson Blount of Crestview, Florida, left this life on April 9, 2019, when she lost the battle with cancer.   

She was born March 17, 1942 to Daniel Blue Johnson and Bonnie Rhodes Johnson of Opp, AL.

LaVern was preceded in death by her parents, her brother R. Daniel "Danny" Johnson, husband Curtis E. Crews and husband Edgar L. Earles.

Survivors include her husband Gale M. Blount, son Joe Dan Blocker (wife Joyce), daughter Donna G. Proehl and step daughter Kelly Crews Jordan (husband Travis).  

Grandchildren Jeremy Blocker (wife Jennifer) and their 3 children and Erin Kilpatrick Lewis (husband Bo) and their 4 children.

The grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandson were all part of her life and she helped raised so many of the them in her life.  LaVern loved them all like her very own, and they knew it.

LaVern was happiest when all the children would come home for dinner, holidays or just because they wanted to see Nana!!   

A memorial will be held on April 20th at Live Oak Baptist Church at 2p.
