Marguerite McIntosh age 94 of Crestview passed away on Tuesday night, January 8, 2019 in Crestview. She was born in Andalusia, AL on January 15, 1924 to Nicholas and Lucy Barlow. Marguerite has lived in Crestview for 62 years, she was a member of First Baptist Church where she loved her back pew. Marguerite loved playing cards and Yahtzee. In her younger days she loved playing golf, but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack McIntosh and her 4 brothers: Clarence, Nick, Jimmy, and Billy, and 2 sisters-in-law: Perrine and Dot.
Survivors include her daughters Sherry Bowers and husband Dan, and Jackie Magier and husband Don. Also surviving are her 4 grandchildren: Dan Bowers, Jr and wife Denise, Kelly Thompson and husband J.T., Melissa McCaughan and her husband Paul, and Mikel Magier. 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren also survive, and her sister-in-law Georgia Barlow along with numerous, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The celebration of Marguerite’s life will be on Friday, January 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m.
