Mary Cobb

Mary S. Cobb age 83 passed away on July 27, 2019, at her home in Baker. She was born September 21, 1935 in Baker to Will and Bernise Smith. Mary had been an active member of Baker First United Methodist Church, and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Mary loved being with her family, fishing with her husband, Pete, and sewing and cooking for her kids and grandkids until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Cobb; her parents, Will and Bernise Smith; brothers, Norman Smith and Lonnie Smith; sisters, Octavia, and Doris Maxson.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, James “Pete” Cobb; daughters, Katie Ard and husband Larry; Kathy Barrow and husband Jeff; brother, Tommy Smith and wife Karen; sister, Sandra Morgan and husband Mike; eight grandchildren, Wesley Ard, Shannon and Brook Ard, Kayla and Shane Denmon, Jason and Kristen Waltermon, Jeremy Waltermon and Candyce Adams, Jack and Nicole Cobb, Nate Cobb, Mary Loux ; twenty great-grandchildren, Abigail Ard, Maggie Ard, Lauren Barnes, Sawyer and Brandon Barnes, Claire Barnes, Shyla Jay Barnes, Annabus Barrow, Talon Barrow, Laeth Waltermon, Logan Cobb, Taylor Cobb, Brittany Cobb, Conner Cobb, Aurora Adams, Lexana Adams ,Tyler Denmond, Hanna Denmond, Valerie Cobb, Matthew Cobb, Alivia Cobb, Cienna Newton, Raelyn Newton and Isabelle Loux.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home, with A Celebration of Life Service beginning at 6:30 pm.
