W. Max Clark, 83 years young, passed peacefully from this life to his new life Thursday, August 9,2018 at his home in Pace Fl. Born in Geneva County, Alabama, He was the son of William Lib Clark and Cleo Chancy Clark. In addition to his parents, he is reunited again with his brother Charles and his sister Syble. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years 364 days, Corine Register Clark, a son Tim, a daughter and son-in law Jennifer and James Tislow, his daughter-in-law Alice and her husband and his friend Terry Thomas, his eldest grandson Christopher Clark, his eldest granddaughter Jillian Clark, the eldest of his daughter's children, granddaughter Allison Tislow, his youngest granddaughter Nicole Tislow, his youngest grandson Alex Tislow, a niece and nephew Kimberly and Danny Wilkins, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wayne and Nyago Register, and many cousins and friends who will miss him greatly.
Max served the area as a banker for roughly 40 years. He graduated from Geneva County High School in Hartford Alabama in 1954 and was the Senior Class President. He attended several colleges and universities, in the Southeast and was awarded a degree from the Chair of Banking, Graduate School of Banking-Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He served on the Board of Directors of various business and civic organizations and was a Director Emeritus of the Board of Trustees Northwest Florida State College after having served on the board for approximately 20 years. He was a member of Wallace Baptist Church, Pace Fl.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lonnie Jack Adams, George Kennedy, Cody Trent, Mack Brooks, Terry Sapp, The 1954 Graduating Class of Geneva County High School, and The Wallace Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home 436 West James Lee Blvd. Crestview, FL on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Andy Martin of Wallace Baptist Church, will be officiating the services.
There will also be a graveside service at Bethany Baptist Church, 1404 N Highway 79, Bonifay, FL which is about 10 miles north of Bonifay, Florida or 3 miles south of the Alabama state line for anyone wishing to attend. Lunch will be served at the Fellowship Hall at Bethany beginning around 2 p.m. followed by the graveside service at 3 p.m.
