Max Roberts age 78, of Crestview passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 28, 2017. He was born in Laurel Hill, FL on March 5, 1939, to John James Roberts and Nita Jones Bryan. Max served his country in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne from 1958 to 1961. Max then went to work for Northwest Airlines as a Supervisor. After many years with Northwest he retired. He loved to fish, loved to watch NASCAR racing, and loved mowing his yard. Max always had a project going in some form or another, especially in his woodworking shop. The words, “He was a Jack of all trades” was said many times about Max. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Max was the family videographer, filming his grandchildren’s ballgames and attending all his grandsons sporting events. Max was preceded in death by his parents and his step father Elias Lenier Bryan, and a grandson Chasen Michael Scheid. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Fraulein Roberts, daughters: Cindy Weeks and her husband John, and Sandra Krasen and her husband Jerry. Former son-in-law Garry Michael Scheid and his wife Kim. Brother-in-law Robert Edge and sister-in-law Geri Hongoltz. Max’s grandchildren also survive: Casey Krasen, Colin Krasen, and J.R. Weeks and great grandson and great granddaughters: Colton Krasen, Scarlett Krasen, and Harper Krasen. Brothers: Gene Roberts and his wife Neda, Rex Roberts and his wife Fran, and Ronnie Bryan and his wife Janet. Numerous nieces, nephews and many relatives also survive.
