Michael Kelley, age 73, of Baker, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home. He was born in Andalusia, AL on June 17, 1945, to Bott and Lois Kelley. Michael graduated from Baker High School in 1963 and worked for many years as an electrician. He loved working with horses, loved to go fishing, enjoyed NASCAR and loved working on his tractor and restoring old things. Michael was a gifted carpenter and was a jack-of-all trades. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Most of all Michael loved his family, especially his wife and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sheila Kelley, children: Terry Kelley-Crouse and Brian Crouse, Emily Kelley Parker, and Chip and Lee Kelley; brother Jerry Kelley and wife Becky; his precious grandchildren: Elizabeth, Katie, Erin, Reilly, Cohen, Harry and Colin and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service for Michael will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Pastor David Bracewell officiating. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Michael’s memory to Cross Creek Ministries 8210 Jordan Road, Baker, FL 32531.
