Patricia "Pat" Medley

Pat Medley age 85 of Crestview passed away on Monday December 31, 2018.  She was born in Rome, GA on November 6, 1933, to Reese and Azalea Woolley.  Pat graduated from the Alabama College also known as the University of Montevallo.  She was a teacher in the Okaloosa County School System for 30 years.  Pat started out teaching P.E. and then moved on to teach 3rd grade and finally settled in to kindergarten.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crestview.  Pat loved flowers, loved to read and going out to eat.  She especially loved going to the beach.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Reese Woolley, sister Martha Rogers and a granddaughter Stephanie Paul.

          Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years Ray “Red” Medley, daughter Lori Paul and T.J. Curtis, Brother Randy Woolley and wife Jane, sister Phyllis Holcomb and sisters-in-law Carolyn Woolley and Mary Carma Riley.

          A time of visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4th, 2018 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home Chapel.  The celebration of Pat’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m.  A private family burial will take place at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Superior Residence and Crestview Rehab Center, Especially Angela Freeman and Jamie Brooks.
