Pauline Averil Roy Lambert passed away at her home at the age of 81 in Crestview, Florida. And yes, she had two middle names. Legend has it her grandfather raised a few pints to celebrate her birth on January 9th, in King's Lynn England. He then proceeded to register her name, where he slipped his own last name into the surprise of her parents, William Thomas and Frances Louise Oakley, who proceeded her in death. This is the tale she shared with her children.
When not regaling them with stories about growing up in England she loved to spend time in her award-winning garden. There wasn't a plant she couldn't nurture into beautiful blossoms. Pauline also devoted numerous hours to community service. In addition to helping others she worked as a real estate broker. This job became her passion as it allowed her to meet new people, which she dearly loved.
She is survived by her four children, Linda DeBrunner and her husband, Terry Hughes, Debby Johnson and her husband Ron Johnson, Richard Spaulding and his wife, Sheila, and her youngest son, Roy Spaulding. In addition, she leaves a legacy through her grandchildren, Christina, David, Sarah, Courtney, Melissa, Jeremy, Christopher, Amanda and Kimberly, as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 3:00pm at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview. Guest book and condolences are available online at www.whitehurstpowellfuneralhome.com
