Samuel Allen

Samuel Allen, age 74, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019. He was born in Crestview, FL on November 9th, 1945 to Jack and Lucille Allen.
Sam worked for Okaloosa County School Board for 33 years before retiring in 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved to tinker and could fix anything with a motor. Most of all, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Venia Del Pozo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lynn Allen; son Jason Allen; daughter Ashley Covan and her husband D.L.; 2 grandchildren, Shelby and Gunner Allen; brother Jerry Allen; sisters Addice Anglin, Charlotte Griffith, Nellie Burlison; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home from 4-6PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2PM, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
